Pentad Pre-Release Offering Announcement

Pentad represents our highest achievement in winemaking, a wine of wholeness, balance, and ever expanding complexity.  It is a wine bottled only in the most exceptional vintages.  The 2012 vintage is our first release of Pentad in three years, only our 8th vintage ever produced.

With our Futures offering now sold out, due to continued demand we  now make available Pre-Release reservations for $75 per bottle.  The wine will be ready for pickup or shipment March 1, 2015.    All applicable wine club discounts apply.

Pentad has historically been our most critically acclaimed wine, with scores in the mid 90’s from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator.  Our most recent release, the 2009, was rated 96 Points by the Wine Enthusiast and named #31 on their list of the TOP 100 Cellar Selections in the world.

The wine media is already abuzz with praise for the 2012s and our winemaker, Casey McClellan, says the vintage produced “some of the most pleasurable wines” in his 27 vintages.  The 2012 vintage was slightly warmer than average and produced generous, plush wines with already well integrated tannin and acid structure.

Always a blend of five Bordeaux varietals, the 2012 Pentad consists of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot, 7% Malbec, and 7% Carmenere.  Only 310 cases were produced.

Those planning to attend the annual Holiday Barrel Tasting Weekend in Walla Walla can come taste the 2012 Pentad prior to Release.  We will pour samples of 2012 Pentad at the winery December 5th, 6th and 7th.

2012 Pentad will be released March 1 at $75 per bottle.  A limited number of bottles are available for purchase as a pre-release reservation, at $75 per bottle, through December 10th.  Please contact us at the winery at 877.777.7870 or send Julie an email at julie@sevenhillswinery.com.

Free Ground Shipping on purchases of 12 bottles or more.  All applicable wine club discounts apply.  2012 Pentad will be available for pickup or shipment March 1, 2015.
